LiveA full revamp for a San Diego private yacht charter, plus a complete booking platform replacing FareHarbor: Stripe deposits, e-signed waivers, USCG manifests, and two-way calendar sync.
Bluebill Charters runs private yacht charters out of Mission Bay, San Diego, aboard a 49-foot Shaw-Westport motor yacht: fishing trips, whale watching, bay and sunset cruises, and signature experiences. Their Wix site had a dead charters page titled “x”, pricing that conflicted between pages, and a perfect 5.0 Google rating the site never surfaced.
Bookings ran through FareHarbor, with its fees and its limits. The client wanted to own the booking experience end to end: their own planner, their own payments, their own paperwork.

A private yacht charter with a perfect 5.0 Google rating was stuck on an aging Wix site: a dead charters page, pricing that disagreed between pages, a 1,051 KB homepage, and the reputation nowhere to be seen. Every booking, meanwhile, ran through FareHarbor: marketplace fees and someone else's checkout for the business's core transaction.

We rebuilt everything as a 39-route Next.js platform on Neon Postgres, and replaced FareHarbor with an in-house booking engine: a multi-step Charter Planner, server-side rate recompute, advisory-lock date holds, Stripe Checkout with 50% deposit or pay-in-full, webhook-confirmed lifecycle emails, e-signed liability waivers and bareboat agreements, a USCG passenger manifest, off-session balance collection, and two-way Google Calendar sync. The crew runs it all from an admin portal with three CMSs: trips and pricing, blog, and email copy.

The platform is live at bluebillcharters.com, processing real payments through the booking engine the client now owns. Every legacy Wix URL redirects permanently, the blog's RSS feed survived the move, and the 5.0 rating finally sits in the schema where search engines can see it.
