A From-Scratch Website Built to Award Rubric Standards

A complete 16-page site for an up-and-coming Portland general contractor with a concrete focus, engineered against the metrics Awwwards-style juries score on.

Rolly Builders: the website Agentic PNW built

Objective

Rolly Builders LLC, a licensed general contractor (Oregon CCB 261365) based in Portland, OR, is an up-and-coming shop with a focus on concrete work: driveways, patios, and sidewalks, alongside siding, painting, windows, framing, sheetrock, and decks.

They had no web presence at all. They needed a complete site built from scratch that would show the work, get serious prospects to call, and hold up under both design-jury and search-engine scrutiny.

01

The Opportunity

A new general contractor with real craftsmanship had zero digital footprint: no site, no portfolio, no way for a homeowner to vet them or request a bid. Meanwhile, incumbents with weaker work but stronger websites were capturing the searches.

02

The Solution

A complete Next.js build designed and written from zero: a locked design system (construction-poster art direction, OKLCH tokens, fluid condensed typography), and every page engineered against the rubric metrics award circuits like Awwwards actually score: design, usability, creativity, and content, weighted for client work. Usability leads: a call-first conversion path with sticky mobile call bar, tap targets and focus states throughout, reduced-motion fallbacks, and a fully static build for speed. Seven trade pages and four service-area pages carry a full GeneralContractor and Service schema stack.

03

The Impact

The site is live at rollybuilders.com: 16 pages, fully static, with real project photography dropped into the slots the design reserved for it. A post-build SEO audit closed every critical finding, leaving zero open P0s.
